I'd rather be a FIB then a moldy cheesehead! BTW, FIB's are from Indiana, not IL.!

I really thought the real problem was people coming from other countries and not becoming who we are. That they came here to bring their part of the world here to change us. I find it ironic that we are fearful of each other here from one state to the next, maybe it's to late...

I don't think its a problem. The US is THE melting pot. My ancestors melted in.

It is a common (and recurring) and not even just US trait to vilify the most recent batches of immigrants. They assimilate and change the culture. In the end various perspectives make us stronger and better.

I guess I was taken too seriously, I have friends that are FIB transplants. I tell them that I hope they will deported all the time. It's all in fun. We do get alot of ******** though, I live in a popular FIB vacation spot. Oh well, those ******** spend money and keep my taxes low

You're exactly right, but, we have never dealt with people that don't believe the same way we do, at our core. There are now a group of people in our country that will never be American. The wind didn't blow down the twin towers, hatred of our core values did.....

I'm from here, not from there
my family is from here, not from there

Don't bring your transient haters BS here
if you hated it so damn bad, where you came from
why try & change it here to be like there...

My family has been here (this area) since late 1600's to early 1700
on the Matriarchs side, they had to fight to stay here...
Not sure of the exact dates/years, just what I was told & in the family bible...
All that I know of, originally they were in coastal & mountain settlements
(Russian forts & Russian or Norwegian Lumber camps)
most were org. from Norway & Germany, all fisherman, ship builders & loggers
all from far northwestern California & southwestern Oregon
(long before it was US) "allegedly" mingled with some indigenous tribes
on her (grandmothers) side too, I never confirmed it, but it was in the family bible...

The Patriarchs (grandfathers) side was originally all from Germany
via St. Louis, (later Ellis Island) came to America on ship as either
Engineers, Shipmen, military, later as farmers, ranchers & Dairy farmers,
from what I recall, what I was told...
Spread all over the Midwest, from Mo. to Minn.
then mostly all went west, too get out of the cold...

It was the 'wild west' back then, everyone was a little bit of a rebel transient
(unless you were indigenous or Mexican) most all settled in the SF & Diablo Valley area
east of SF, where it was warm sunny, thriving/growing, with bright futures,
good crop lands, vast wide open country, vast grasslands & walnuts orcahrds
as far as the eye could see...

They all assimilated to the ways of the US, made the best of the
opportunities presented to them...
(before all the masses of eastern dickheads that wanted to turn here in to east coast,
mid-west, moved here, in masses after the railroad was finished
)

My distant Grandparents (both sides) were Engineers, Bridge & ship builders,
all self made men/family people, you had to be...
They all actually contributed to the development growth of the state/country
& their offspring were carpenters, ranchers, farmers in the fertile valleys,
feeding the state...
They all learned to speak English, live the American ways,
they all help to build my native state...

It was a time when the US was nation building it's country/west
& really only had settlements, the only true "Anglo Saxon" civilization,
civilized people, were all east of the Mississippi...

They were "True pioneers", they were "true groundbreakers"...

Every generation of my family has fought in wars for the USA...

I am from here & I'm damn proud of it...

I get so sick of people from elsewhere, that bitch "about here"
that don't know **** "about here", except some negative BS they
read or spout about, usually to make them look tough or defiant...

It's all good, I grew up in Chicago. I'm just coverin my own butt and passin it along onto someone else.

I moved out of the burbs 25 years ago buying a few acres from my farmer in-laws, nearest house 350 yards; in-law's house. There was little around, nice country roads, no traffic. Since then there's been 15 subdivisions built around me I can think of right off; likely more. I have rush hour traffic to deal with at the end of our 1/4 mile driveway and getting the mail is a risky venture. Been warned I can't plow snow across the highway as I did back when or $500 fine so I sometimes block traffic to turn around and plow back to the drive. More stop-signs, a roundabout, and irritated road rage'rs. And a friend who farms nearby has received complaints about the manure smell since a subdivision was built around his farm. WTF, they wanted to live in the country! Been fighting development of a huge gas station abutting my property spending a couple grand in lawyer fees. That was keenly overruled. What is it they say....'that's progress'.

It's an issue as old as dirt. I see it as friendly rivalry. I'm not fearful of much, let alone people from other states.
Kind of like the inter-service rivalry. I hate Army Dogs to the bone but I would have covered their @sses in a fire fight in a heart beat.

I'm born and raised in the good ol USA !!!!!
I like god, bacon, guns, the stars and stripes , blondes with big tits ,and Mopars !

I hate people that hate the above!

I hate people even more that want to change my views of the above!

Now if you want to go way back my family is from italy ! Say what you will about Italian s , they came to this country ,turned right back around and went to war for a country they hadn't even seen yet!

Most people in other countries know that at the end of the day, if you come to the USA to fight, you'll be welcomed by millions of gun carrying men and women that will fight to the death, and then you have our military to deal with also... LOL

This post may get out of hand quick......but the point is there is NO BETTER place on this planet than America. No place you can make your fortune and live your life as you see fit. Everyone has forgotten that you need to Respect that and not shove your personal beliefs down the throats of anyone that disagrees with you. I for one love it here (not jersey) and if you don't love it here you are more than welcome to get the hell out. DO NOT try to change it Here. Just enjoy it here.
