A couple of years ago the rubber bump stop for the brake switch on the top of the brake pedal in my work van had disintegrated....causing the brake lights to be on all the time.

Couldn't find a bump stop for a few days....so I improvised with a 10-cent coin siliconed in the same place. Worked a treat.

The problem with that is a mild joke about a political figure will usually snowball into a discussion about politics.
