Under hood pad

Did all Superbirds have the under hood insulation pad? I see some with the pad and some without. Which is correct? If it was "optional", would it show up on the buildsheet?

So only the factory undercoated cars got the pad?

Yupper. Code would be J55 on fender tag on 69-71 models.

Yes, only undercoat cars! Thankfully mine is one. Pad cleans up a fugly hoods underside well.
