Larry, You have to believe my friend, you have to believe in the power of God to make it right. I'll tell you a tale to while away your hours...In 2010 I was laying on the backside of a sand hill in ..(somewhere in Iraq)..when what do I hear from my radio guy but that the headshed wants to talk to me ASAP. So I squirm over to him and plug in. I find out that my wife, who had up to this moment survived Stage 3B Invasive ductile breast cancer, Thyroid cancer, and two other diseases as a result, was in the hospital with liver cancer. And it did not look good for her. After a short, mostly one sided conversation, we hauled *** away from what we up to and back to the beerhall. I climbed out of the Humvee and had a stack of papers shoved at me which I had to sign. I was directed to go over to the launchpad and wait. All of my **** was packed up and sitting in a pile on the tarmac. Here comes my commander who hands me my emergency leave papers, my authorization to exit the warzone etc..etc.. A few minutes later a Blackhawk swops in to land near me and the crew chief rushes out and starts grabbing up my gear. I help him and we are lifting off before i'm even strapped in. The crew chief is manning a door gun and after a while points at me and at the other door gun. I have a lot on my mind but getting shot down is right at the front so I go and strap in. 45 tense minutes later we land and toss me and mine out. They go and as I watch them go I notice a couple of guys taking my gear to a waiting Chinook chopper with the rotors turning up. I load up and we are gone. We get shot at during the ride and it's a sickening rollercoaster of combat manuevors and shooting at things before we get to the airfield where a C130 is being held for me. Unload...reload and away we go. Hours later we arrive in Kuwait and offload me first and right onto a waiting C140 Starlifter out of Charleston, SC. Overnight to Charleston and another chopper ride to Columbia. Remember, I came right out of the sand where I had been for days and nights, and have not changed or washed at all. Or slept really. I stumbled into the hospital like a dead man, still in grubby desert fatigues and kissed my wife , less than 48 hours after answering the radio. Moments later the doctor came out to meet me and said that they had the latest images and that he was going to look at them before starting the surgery. Shortly he returned with the whole team and said that the dark area on her liver that was cancer had disappeared. Just gone. He could not explain it, at all. He said his only explanation was that God in his infinite wisdom knew that my wife was loved and that he granted her grace after all she had been through. He said we could go home, no surgery. Period.

All of that to say that you need to hang in there, he will bless you and her with his grace. Peace.

That's great news - like GHOSTRIDER SAYS you have to believe in the power of GOD! Sounds like an enormously complicated surgery. Glad it came out well. God bless!

I've never known "good thoughts" to work ...so I sent out a prayer and so happy to hear she did well and continued recovery.

Don't expect nothin for Christmas ! It came early for your family. Glad to hear this.

Great news Larry. Hope she has a speedy recovery and a good long life. Don't forget to take care of yourself too. God Bless you and your family.
