I'm rebuilding my 426 Hemi using Molnar crank, Molnar rods and Icon pistons. Since I'm using lighter weight internal components why can't I use a 440 balancer and pullies instead of the heavier and thicker Hemi balancer and pullies?
Thanks for any ideas

If you want it to look stock you can use the Fluiddampr. I think your pulleys might line up with it. I would go with an ATI balancer. (I know it's a hassle because they are often too tight and need to be honed.) One member on here said this one lines up with the wedge pulleys, but it is a 2 ring and ATI told me the 917122E would be better because it's a 3 ring. (There is a different part number if you have a thick aluminum front cover.)

You don't want to use a real Street Hemi balancer anyway because of how the factory balance was done.

Done it a few times. Just watch the alternator stud clearance to head.
