I concede, they have never had a great reputation, but it seems as of very recently things are declining quickly.
I had a package/envelope of Inconel 718 18"x.045" tig rods weighed mere oz mailed from Arthur, Iowa on 10/8, they arrived in SW Florida on 10/11 approx 30 miles away, they went to Tampa round trip (140 miles away) twice, and they were finally delivered here on 10/20, taking 9 days to go the last 30 miles of an under 1400 mile trip.

Today I am waiting on a tracked letter from a member here that was mailed USPS 10/16 according to tracking in Farwell Michigan and today it arrived in Detroit, about 164 miles along and only 1100 miles to go.
He was told when mailing I should receive it tomorrow.

I am thinking Thanksgiving?

They can't find my 242 address but packages always ends up at my cousins 259. With different last names. My truck payment was mailed Oct 1 hasn't arrived yet and a check from a contractor mailed Oct 10 hasn't made it to me. I would really like to have that 32k on material back in my account.

My underlying point, has something changed recently or is this just a run of bad luck?
Closer to Christmas I can understand things going south.

I’ve got a good regular Carrier. Makes all the difference. Victoria. Reliable.

Must be your region. I haven't seen problems. There...I just jinxed myself.

They were much more dependable 20 years ago than they are now. I have zero faith in them these days except in knowing their fees will go up again soon. Just when I think I have seen it all, up comes another unbelievable scenario.

I have had a 1 issue in the last few years. A package came to town but didn't make it to the distribution center where it get's loaded on the truck for delivery. E bay/Pay Pal gave me a refund. **** happens.
