USPS rant (yeah, another one...hehe)

USPS=tits on a bull.

Ya, try mailing the payments to a supplier through the mail. Spotless record for 40+ years and now they email me every week with "where is your payment." Total bullshit. Now im going to have to do ACH's. More work for me. Yaay

Folks don’t have pride or a care anymore about their jobs/ work no drive to do better or be better ... it stinks! I’m always on my kids to do better no excuses and I’m always told to back off by others. I consider my dad and grandpa excellent parents so what if they told you no and stop or I’ll give it to ya.. You know when there is no pride when someone is more than happy to park their riveted jeans against your vehicle.

Ya, you should see some of the animals that work at the USPS on Western and Madison near my work.

Had foot surgery 2 weeks ago, Thursday. Ordered something that afternoon, supposed to be delivered Sat. Sunday, I get a message saying it was “lost”. Tracking number stopped. So, I cancel the order and it arrives Wednesday night at 9 pm. Done with them.

Meanwhile out here in VERY rural NE Tennessee, the rural route carrier we have (3rd gen on same route!)
continues to perform her duties perfectly.
Our mailbox is down on the county road a quarter mile away (my road is that long and straight up the
ridge) and I have a slightly larger mailbox, big enough to receive "one-handed" packages.
If it's more than the box can hold, the carrier comes up my ridge and hand carries it to me on my porch.
Yes, goes out of her way and brings it directly to me - when she isn't required to.

A little appreciation goes a long way sometimes, folks....just sayin'.

Now, as far as my latest dealings with the USPS countrywide, I've ordered parts from the Professor up in
NY state and got them in two days; stuff from the middle of the country takes 3 days, sometimes less.
The brake shoes I ordered from California took a work week to get here and arrived in perfect condition,
too.
I got nothing to complain about, at least not from here.

US postal service is having same issue as all mailing and shipping services. It's why gas is so high priced. UPS and Fed Ex service sucks too. Even Amazon is slipping.

We have little to no experience with a post pandemic recovery. Let alone one in this information age? I know patience is not a virtue to hotrodders? (It's why there is Hotrods? Cars are too slow! Lol.) But we have little choice?

I can not complain about our rural mail carrier or the USP lady that works our route and has for years.
But the USPS lady at the counter can not figure a shipping rate. Today it is this, I get the $ for the part and shipping costs from the buyer, next time it is TOO BIG for us to ship!!!!!!!! Same lady figured it both times!!!!!:lol::lol::lol:
