V21 and V7X...look like on a 71 GTX?

Hi guys, found my fender tag in box number 7 of parts I was going through and have a couple questions.

E86 = 440
D32 = AUTO TRANS
GF3 = LIGHT GREEN BODY PAINT
P6F7= GREEN BUCKET INTERIOR
GF7 = GREEN UPPER DOOR FRAME
315 = DATE BUILT?
08XXXX = SEQUENCE
U = USA BUILT
A01 = LIGHT PACKAGE
C16 = CONSOLE
C55 = BUCKETS
G11 = TINTED GLASS
G36 = L AND R MIRRORS
H51 = AC
J25 = VARIABLE WIPERS
J45 = HOOD PINS
L31 = HOOD/FENDER TURN SIGNALS
M21 = DRIP RAIL MOLDINGS
M25 =BODY SILL MOLDINGS?
M31 =BELT MOLDINGS?
N41 = DUAL EXHAUST
N42 = CHROME TIPS
R36 = AM/FM RADIO W/CASSETTE
V21 = PERFORMANCE HOOD STRIPES?
V7X= ??

Oh and in the zip lock bag it was in there was also a thin strip of metal with stampings...is this anything?

If the stamping is about 3/4 inch wide and has various numbers and letters stamped in it and a small hole in 1 end and it is body color, it would most likely be an inspectors stamp that was attached to the data tag.
At various places on the assembly line, various people would inspect the work done and pass it.
Different shifts and lines had different systems. Not all cars have them
Some would get clipped off.

Cool...that pretty much describes the thin tag. Pretty corroded but still complete. What do the V21 and V7X stripes look like? Thanks for the help.

Oh thin tag has numbers stamped on it and an asterisk or star looking punch as well as one hole on end.

Yes, that is an inspectors tag.

There were 2 different hood treatments.
