Hello,
The weatherstrip on my '64 440 doesn't seal the top of the window. The seal appears to be in good health, not chalky, no cracking, flexible. In the picture you can see substantial gap at the top. Since the glass can't be "adjusted" that much, did the rubber shrink that much? I'm still in sticker shock for new replacements.
