VIN numbers on the cowl in a 1971 Charger?

I have heard that you can find some VIN numbers or something stamped on the cowl of the Chargers in 1971 ? Is that true? Anyone have a sample of what it looks like or precisely where to find it? What, exactly would be stamped there? Thanks!

Normally under the cowl seal between the wiper motor and master cylinder. Year, plant and sequence number. 1Axxxxxxxx.
