VIN - stamped body locations ???

I'm going to look at a "number matching" 72 Satellite Sebring Plus this weekend. The photos sent to me by the owner show the dash VIN tag, fender tag, and build sheet all match. However, if I recall correctly, there is also a portion of the VIN stamped on the radiator support and firewall.

Is that correct?

I just can't remember the exact locations for the body stamps. If memory serves me correctly the radiator support is stamped on the front side behind the grill on the driver's side (???), and the firewall is stamped near the cowl location, driver's side (???).

Now for the 400 / 727. The build sheet shows a 3 digit ID number for each. I don't know where these numbers are located. I assume PS near the bell housing or near the oil pan?

Please correct me if I'm wrong (photos showing the exact locations would be great).

yes that is correct and there is a VIN stamp on the lip of the trunk rail by the dutch panel. the engine numbers will be located on the PS oil pan rail underneath and to the left of the motor mount.

hi the vin numbers are on the door dash fender tag rad cowl n a 71- 74 b-body:upside down::star_wars2:

68-70 b-body yes there is VIN stamp on the lip of the trunk rail but not on 71 -74 b-body

numbers on the cowl are located on the overhanging sheet of metal just above the wiper motor. on

G - St Louis

R - Windsor

E - Los Angeles the numbers are the cowl
