On my 72 Charger it came with a vinyl top. Someone took it off and did away with the stud/tits to mount the trim on. Is it hard to put top back on without those stud mounts?

You should be able to see where the studs were after either sand blasting or chemically removing the paint from the roof. I had the same issue. After stripping the car, saw where all of the studs were. Drilled the holes and installed new rivets and the chrome trim went on with no issues.

I have a '71 with the vinyl top. I have extra clips for the trim if needed but will have to find them:praying:

Would you happen to have a source for these?

BTW- The repop ones are white. My originals were black. Also, I trial fitted mine to the trim. I had to trim a hair off so the white clips wouldn't be seen on the edges of the black trim. More than likely, you'll have to do the same. I used an "exacto-knife"

I also added the half top to my 71 RR. I did not like how high the trim was from the metal. I sanded down the under side of the clips until the tabs were almost gone. All the clips and screws are available from R/T Specialities. Not to bad drilling holes in the top of your car once you get past the first one. LOL.

If I can find the extra clips, I'll sell them to ya. I couldn't get just what I needed. I had to purchase like 50 to get them so I have plenty. If you can give me some time to go to my car and look in the trunk, you can get them.
