Ordered some wheels and of course they are on back order. 3 weeks later the due in date has been pushed back 2 more weeks, so I called the manufacturer, as they sell them direct but at a higher price, and they said it will be 4-6 more weeks and that wasn't a confident sounding answer :BangHead:

the drag radials would look better on the car than they do in the spare room :frustrated:

That does suck, what wheels did you purchase?

wheel vintiques 63 series in a 15x8 with a 4.5 backspace, just plain steel wheels. I didn't want to wait so I changed to the 69 series police wheel...I wanted a detective/PI look for the car so they will work

Waiting makes the heart grow fonder.

I waited 3 years for wheel opening mouldings for my '70 GTX. I had nearly forgotten about them when they eventually turned up. :icon_silent:

I'm also waiting for the 63 series. This sucks so bad...

And while I'm raging about back order things, the carburetor for my lawn mower is on back order too... My garden looks like a jungle and my wife is constantly beating me about it... I am *NOT* mowing 2 acres with the hand pushed mower she borrowed from my father in law...

Waiting a few weeks for wheels sucks, but waiting 10 months for a car to be built blows.

That's a huge drawback to restoring a car but sometimes it's helpful to me lol. I'm in the middle of a complete rear end build but the customer's car is still in body shop hell on a rotisserie waiting for some dryer weather for paint (Houston area remember lol) so it lets me work on it at my leisure.....like I have much leisure time anyways. The housing is just about ready for paint and I'm in the same situation with humidity being way too high. When the forecast becomes more favorable, I'll jump on it and finish it up but in the meantime, I'm doing some cleanup out back and some tree trimming. Was even able to mow yesterday before the sky peed on us again.......

They say patience is a virtue but I've always struggled with that. I don't mind waiting a couple weeks but a couple months I couldn't do. When I called year one and they said they have had them on back order since December.

10 months to have a car built I could do...if 6 or 7 of them were winter :)

I have less than an acre of land and after push mowing for most of the last summer and twice this year I was done. Broke down and got this
