I was woundering what you all would do. if you could go back in time and order a new 1970 Satellite. i never really cared for the Roadrunner or GTX versions. the engine options i personally have on hand are the #'s matching 318. or 383,400, 426 street wedge, and 440. i know im going with a big block just have not decide on which one. im going automatic transmission with a 8 3/4 rear. also have a really nice Roadrunner hood to use and a standerd Satellite hood. So what would you do? Just looking for ideas anything from a good solid performer to wild uncontrollable beast. have fun be creative. but it has to be a 1970 Satellite.

Is put on runner hood and put the 426 in it built mild and go with a custom paint job with ghost scallops useing base color a copper or a gold with a white interior or go with black color on base with the silver scallops with a nice set of 18 crater style wheels or some close wheels definately 18s with a set of yokahoma tires that would be something nobody else has

Roadrunner hood and I'd go Hemi (if you can make that happen) or a 440 with a 6-PAC (EFI is always an option!). You might also want to look into using an overdrive tranny to keep the Rpms down and higher mpg and more cruzing time.

I'd add the road runner hood. 15" Cragar SS wheels, 15X8 with plenty of offset on the back with 275s. I like the color of the front clip, so I'd go with that. Or F5. And the 426 Wedge just for something different.

OK so the 426 street wedge, auto trans, roadrunner hood. loneagle what do you mean by crater style wheels? i kinda like the k5 dark burnt orange paint color. and 17" wheels stagered. thanks for the input it has been very help full.

If it were mine, I would want a 440 with a nice cam for no more then a great sound sitting there idling, but then id want some head work done and bring it around 400-450 HP, with headers with the cutouts, Put a Shift kit in a 727, no higher gears then 373, would prefer the 410, That part depends on driving a LOT or a weekend "lets have a ball" driver. I would have the interior black or white, love them both and combined make a great interior.. The outside would be the biggest problem, (so many colors look great on this body) I think i would paint it myself either a brilliant colored yellow with the RR hood on it, or a candy red... Dressed with the original Keystone classic 15 wheels, 15x7 front 15x9 back.. You said be creative, This is my creative if i had it hear and i would be starting on it NOW lol... Thats a nice solid looking car and however you go, i hope you enjoy the car, I had a 70 RR, just a SB car nothing at all fancy, not these colors, it was robin egg blue inside and out. But i sure do love the body style.. Good luck with it...

OH, and both chrome tip exhaust tubes barely coming out the rear.. A tempt me menacing look to people coming up behind you.

I think it's a sickness. Once you own a lime car, you just keep spreading the slime around.....

If I had a 70 sat and someone elses checkbook, it'd be a lowered, minitubbed g-machine with a 5 or 6 speed manual gearbox, nice high rear gears and a stroked 500 incher with a six pack efi setup. I'd put in all the creature comforts of a new car so I could hit the twisties sticking like glue then go right over and run bonneville with the windows up, AC on and listening to my favorite tunes.

either I will go crazy trying to decide or take a couple years to figure it out.

Photn440 mine is a 2 door hard top. but if i could go back and order a car why not a sation wagon? say 426 hemi 4 speed pistol grip bucket seats dana rear 150mph ralley dash air grabber hood and plum crazy purple 15" ralley wheels red line tires.

I belive i have a good idea now may take me 5 years but what the heck i have no plans on ever selling it. paint it k3 burnt orange faded to k5 bark burnt orange back Roadrunner hood and i will be looking for a spolier for the rear now i just need to find one of the proto types mopar made for the dayton's that was only 6" tall and not the 6' tall one. 426 wedge stroked to 491 cid dual 4 setup back with a 727 and the 8 3/4 3:23 sure grip should have a nice top end. gray cloth interior not sure if i want the 70's style buckets or something more modern though. and also up grade all the supension. thanks for all the insperation.

How about a candy color? I saw Jesse James do a candy orange bike and I love that color and said if I ever go the chance to do a hot rod dodge truck I would do it. I thad metal flak in it that just set the orange off and looks close to Hemi orange.

You know the super bird tribute is not so out there of an idea why not? there is a kit out there you can get. If I had a 70 it would be very difficult for me to hold back on that one. I mean who wouldn't want a winged car? Wold be hella of thing do have to play with.

I would use the 400 for a stroker. Bigger bore and parts are readily available.
Have fun!
Norman
