I have a 64 Polara that I am restoring and want to add Posi Trac and rear disc. I have been told that 65 had Posi and not the beveled axles. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like you should just buy a new rear axle assembly. If you contact Doctor Diff he can build you a complete axle with whatever ratio and differential that you want. He can also add a rear disc kit and weld the perches into the factory location so it will bolt right in when you get it. Here is a picture of the Dana 60 with disc brakes that I got from Doctor Diff for my '65 Coronet. Bolted right in.

Not all rears had a sure grip. But you can install one if you’d like. Or buy a complete 3rd member with your choice of gearing and sure grip. If you go disc on the rear brakes, it’ll push your wheels out 1/2 inch per side. Also some disc brake conversions need to use the green bearings. Call Dr. Diff, he can talk you through what you’ll need and provide them at a very reasonable cost.

I have a complete open 65 B body 8 3/4 in Chicago $200

Got a buddy that always asks.....does it got a pos in it....makes me want to slap him too lol. Sorry but PosiTrac is a GM term so if that's what you really want, I can fix ya up with one :D

what , you have a posi Trac
in your Mopar too ????
LOLOL
finally got the red X ! thanks man hehe

I originally didn't see the relationship to your comment. I thought you were suggesting useing a cheby rear in a mopar. I'm retracting the X that I bestowed opon you with humbling apologies.

lol no worries! it drives me nuts when the gm frame-off posi-trac references make it to a Mopar forum lol
