I cleaned my 'tribute' Bee the other day. Hosed it off, washed it and then rinsed it with the hose again. Check for leaks to discover water pooling on the carpet directly below the door hinges on both sides. Water seems to run down the roof channeling into the gap between the door and the front windscreen and pour down where the door seal is into the car. I assume this means I need new door seals, although they look OK, but below the windscreen there seems to be a seam thats crying out for push on weather stripping to stop water flowing down the door seal.

Anyone else had this issue, is there a solution? I suspect its the source of the musty smell in the car and makes me terrified to lift the carpet there in case I find nastiness beneath it!

Take a REALLY close look at where the water is coming from. It could be either the door seal or the windshield (windscreen) seal from what you're saying if I understand you correctly.

Metro Moulded Parts - best weather stripping you can get. Pricey - but so is the stuff you ruin by not having quality seals.

Thanks, I'm a 'do it once, do it right' kind of person so will look to get the best bits I can. I'll try to get some pictures later to demonstrate what I am referring to.
