Is there witness marks on the flywheel bolt area?

The flywheel has been turned down and those are hitting the bolts to the crank. Or the disc is too thick.

you can’t put the clutch disc in backwards, it won’t go together Nor function

This is the way I found it, just burn marks on flywheel. It was just sent out for turning. Clutch wasaking noise/slipping

Bolts were hit, flywheel trash?

That's why I said witness marks. Most likely flywheel has been cut to far as already said. Other possibilities are wrong bolts or disc. Which I would have my doubt's on those possibilities.

Flywheel guy says just grind the heads down......

Where do I get the bushings in the clutch jackshaft? That bigger shaft that runs to the belhousing and pivots?

Really. Any machinist that says that I would stay away from. If the bolts are correct the flywheel is beyond service limits and is junk.

If you need a new Pressure plate and Disc, i have NOS Schiefers in stock. PM me if needed..

“Just grind the bolt heads down“ but isn’t that what holds the flywheel to the crank? No thanks

time for 8 new things:
6 flywheel bolts
a flywheel
a machinist

Thats crazy, glad hes not working on my stuff.

If no washers were under the bolts, flywheel has likely been turned down too far. You don't need an old undersize flywheel coming apart on ya'.

IMO, it may very well be possible to assemble with the disc in backwards.
Will it work? IDK, possibly, kinda', maybe, sure to be noisy and bend the disc ...........if one could adjust enough departure.

Here is my disc backward, with the spring hub sitting on flywheel bolt heads, flywheel faced .030" ......

I'm thinking a backward disc spline hub might bottom on an input shaft bearing whereas the bushing would not affect it. Not sure, never used a bearing.....

Your bolts appear to be correct. These are MP.........

So far, the owner is going with the flywheel grinders advice...... Not sure yet
Then you the shop owner or installer should tell your customer to find someone else to put it back together. Point is why do it wrong or hacked. Disc is already hitting the bolts. Machining has made it worse. Disc wear will make it worse. How much should you grind the bolts? None in my opinion. Liability and a shop come back in my opinion.
