Well Bust My Britches ! Who Knew?

Where would you find those wheels and centers?

I think even the spindles are different as the center caps are shallower.

I wonder what neighborhood of offers he's entertaining?

Those 1971 Plymouth Duster bodied Dodge Super Bees are cool. I'm pretty sure the 1972 model was built in a Dodge Demon body. There is a 1971 here where I live and I spent some time at a show going over it. Lots of cool little things to make them different from our A-bodies. If I recall correctly, this fellow may have said his wheels were actually widened for his tires but they are a factory wheel.

"heres a little info on the Mexican super bee"

I thought those Mexican Super Bee's were those little flying critters that swam and attack bee hives and people?

can you imagine the grief the know it alls at the shows would dish out?

My father used to find Mexican mopar emblems, in some of the stock-boxes that were floating around the plant. I remember him having one that said 8 cylindros.

I still have to wonder about the supposedly factory 270HP from a 318. The 340 was at 270, and that was before emissions brought it down. What emissions elements did the 70 340 have that this 381 doesn't?

Either way, it is a neat car...

There were also 270 HP fender emblems that looked like guitar pics.

Were there ANY emission controls in Mexico at that time?

If it's a 9:1 motor with the 340 cam, it's in the neighborhood.

I knew they existed, there is a restoration thread berried back in the a bodies forum. I guess they are kinda cool, but have no comparison to the b body variant.

the 67 Mexican Coronet had the Chargers hidden headlights as standard equipment

...and IIRC was only available with a slant six!

As long as we're putting together a FAQ on them...

Many South of the border 4 speed Mopars used a locally sourced Eaton transmission, with a center mounted shifter.

..and a good few A body cars had puffy door panels, dash pads and rear seat center armrests.

Yup,
I had to do a re-fresh...and a second look!

That is a real car. RARE and COOL....
Im often to soon to quip!
My Bad...
