I need a new clutch for the 73. I am looking at a Ram Power Grip 10.95" clutch that can handle the 500+ HP the 505 will be making.

What clutch are you using, at what power level, and how do you like it on the street?

Which bellhousing do you have? That will determine which clutch.

It is aluminum,
Another discussion on this subject is going on at this time. One person is saying a 10.95" clutch can be used with a 10 1/2" aluminum bellhousing.

I have a Centreforce dual friction behind my 340 small block. The engine is making 440 HP and 450 ft/lbs of torque. The mechanical clutch release system is all stock.
The clutch is quite light to operate and the gearbox goes in to gear perfectly hot or cold.
Nice street manners with smooth engagement.
Initially there was a very slight judder as the clutch engaged in first gear but that has disappeared now the clutch plate has fully bedded in.
I am happy with the Centreforce brand.

I run the CenterForce as well. Hundred strip passes, 10,000 miles never chattered or slipped. Good pedal pressure. Motor makes about 450hp.

Centerforce for me as well!

center force. got mine in the early 90s used it abused it put it on the shelf during a looong restoration then put it back in and beat it some more. just last week or so I tried to do a big smoky in 3rd gear (alcohol was involved).....need less to say the clutch took the hit but still works well

I’m running a McLeod super street pro, diaphragm clutch, in my coronet.
It’s a warmed up 440. Probably 450HP.
Nice smooth engagement and a relatively light pedal.
