What color is this plate on my inner fender supposed to be? Pic enclosed.

1973 SSP 400/727 just wondering if this cover is supposed to be body color or black or some other color? Thanks.

In my 74 Charger, they have a thin black paint.

My '73 Charger SE had semi gloss black on them... and it was original untouched paint in the engine bay...(400 Magnum).
