in engines like the 340, 440-6, Hemi etc?

I know the Super Coupe, Red Express trucks (E58 engines?) got moly rings along with other upgrades....

i don't think it was until the very early '70's when a top moly ring and neoprene rear seals were used. my 68 road chicken had cast rings and a rope seal. i have a very early '70 440 block that cam with a rope seal.

1968 FSM 340, 383, 440 and 426 all used 3-piece Chrome Plated Rails with Stainless Steel Expander-Spacér. I was headed in the cast direction also but way not sure.
