Can't locate it anywhere, previous owner fitted a mechanical oil gauge so maybe it was removed. Just trying to reinstate if possible.
Is it a big block? If so, it would be located behind the intake manifold rear most part of the block right in front of the transmission bellhousing on top. just about at 12 oclock. Can't locate it anywhere, previous owner fitted a mechanical oil gauge so maybe it was removed. If you have a gauge then you need the round can like looking sender in the picture shown previously. If you had a warning light, the sender would be a small disc about 1/2 inch thick with a black bakelite top with a terminal on top. This is all I have in situ so I reckon I'll need to get a new pressure gauge, presume it goes in this same outlet hole and replaces the oil feed?. No idea what an idiot light is but I have a gauge.

There also should be a wire pigtail coming out of your wiring harness on the firewall right in that area to power it.This is all I have in situ so I reckon I'll need to get a new pressure gauge, presume it goes in this same outlet hole and replaces the oil feed?. A slide on spade type connector. This is all I have in situ so I reckon I'll need to get a new pressure gauge, presume it goes in this same outlet hole and replaces the oil feed?. No idea what an idiot light is but I have a gauge.

I have a gauge but it's a mechanical version so I just have the oil tube coming from that port. I reckon the factory gauge is shot so I'll have to stick to the mech, are they as accurate? If you have a gauge then you need the round can like looking sender in the picture shown previously. Nicely tucked away thanks! If you zoom on this pic you can see it and the wire running to it in the back on my car.View attachment 405455
Oh good stuff I'll leave the mech in place then and get a new sensor and if it brings the factory gauge back to life then happy days and if not at least I'll know. There is two ports there. You can run both mechanical line in one port and the electric sending unit in the other port. I believe they are two different sizes.
In appearance it looks to be good. As long as the threads are correct. Is this the right part guys?
