I am replacing the tank and Fuel Tank Sending Unit on my 73 RR, there are 2 available, with or without the vent return line and I am not sure which I should use. The old one had the vent line but it also had the 4 vent lines on the tank blocked off.
Thanks in advance for your help.

73 has a vapor separator in front of the tank those 4 lines connect to and then route up to the charcoal separator. So the one with out the vent line is correct.
Here is what the separator looks like in case yours may be missing.

Thanks idrivemopar, you have confirmed what I thought. Thanks for the picture, very helpful.

The tank vent lines and vapor separator has nothing to do with a fuel tank sender having a return fuel line fitting or not. Verify whether or not your car has a fuel return line.

73 RR does not have a return fuel line, unless the owner added it, but never came from the factory that way.

Thanks again guys. One more question, how long are the lines from the vapor separator to the tank? Everything is off the car right now and I want to make up some lines before putting them back.

Mine is setup with 6 inch lengths, snugged up against the tank and the vapor separator. I used the stock type pinch clamps to secure them.

mid year '72 change to the later style vapor separator, indeed pretty much lines up directly with the tank nipples, short hose run.
