In 1998, I rolled a 1990 3/4 ton Dodge Ram pick-up with Cummings diesel on a ranch road that had a washout hidden by some weeds (I was only crawling in low-range low. The cab got scrunched. Local body shop wanted about $7,000 for repairs.
I purchased a used cab at a local recycler for $400.00, balanced it on the bed of my 1996 Dodge Dakota and took it home. Changed the cab out myself with hand tools (It only attaches to the frame with four large fasteners). Good as new. (foto not my truck but same year/make/model)
