What is Pro Street today?

various section widths from 11"-13+" & tread widths from 9"-11.5"
size varies depending on rims size

M&H offers a 390/45/15 vary 29"-29.99"/advert. size 29.5"
14.8" section width, 13" rim, min. rec. width 11" rim, 12.50" tread

When I think of pro street I think of full tub, 6 point roll bar, raked, some times all show, some times show and go. I also think of centerline drag lites and 6-71 blowers . . .max effort street cars today I just consider street / strip cars or semi street-able small tire race cars

They hooked pretty good because of how wide they are, but I think the lack of side wall held them back. If you could fit them I would go with more sidewall for sure . I'll let you know how the 295/60s hook

I always thought of "pro street" as a good way to screw up a nice old muscle car. Saw too many Mopars turned into these useless queens.

My useless queen will get more use than a trailer queen  no offense.

Yeah I know what you're saying. I'm not a big vette guy, but it really killed me when I saw a pro street '57 a while back.

Valuable muscle cars imho are best left somewhat stock, at least cutting and welding wise, but plenty of less valuable cars (like my 69 belvedere) that are prime tub candidates.

Yep, they still just production cars built by automation, based on same platforms as generics.
They aint handmade.....apples & oranges. A person should sort out a car the way they want it,,,,,ignore those that villify those who do such. One who wants OEM mimick, fine......one who wants to cut & modify, fine. Personally, i mod & personalize.....i dont want my **** exactly like anybody else's.

When you own it you can do whatever you please.I don't care for the newer retro mod cars or 4x4 chargers, but i ain't my car.I ruined my original slanty with three on the tree!!

Yes .
Cal tracs
Calvert mono leafs with relocation kit
Calvert front and rear adjustable shocks (just installed not yet tested)
Calvert sliders (just installed)

Are you running Cal tracs?

Personally I love how a mini tubbed looks over stock or full tub. Bottom line with today's suspension technology you can hook and run stupid fast on a 275 dr.. for me it's function and looks .
