What is the best resale color for the B bodies?

That's a day trip for me.

...and I like that car.

Not sure I have the work it needs left in me, though.

Actually- the "rating" for the film "I Am Curious" was - "Yellow".

It was a foreign film and they used a color coded rating system.

There are other versions of the film, rated in different colors.

Also, blue...

Judging by what I see at shows that people are painting them in no particular order - red, B5 blue, Hemi Orange, Lime Light green, Plum Crazy purple.

With modern paint done high quality, about any metallic looks good. That GG1 would pop with Tan/Saddle interior. I don't think you could get Gold stripes on a 67 GTX? That would really make a Tan/Saddle interior pop. Not sure that would make for good resale though; too love/hate it.

I would no way go dark green on that 70 Coronet for resale.

If the OP's 70 Coronet is indeed Saddle interior, I'd think B5 would be the best choice after the ones he eliminated. Black probably the best resale if he wants to live with it and it's high quality.

Sassy Grass, late '70 would be cool with saddle interior. But too close to Sublime that he already owns.
I apologize for going off topic butt, I always thought that a Red interior would highlight other Assets of the car.

Red seems to be quite popular. Me with my Charger and a couple of buddy's at our local cruise nights and my other red Challenger. No, we do not belong to a red car only car club..... Surprisingly, my favorite color is chrome, I mean blue...
These days the more oddball colors seem to be more appealing to me. The greens, creams, browns, pale yellows, etc.

I'd go with Citron Yella/Curious Yellow a '71 color just to be obnoxious. I can't find a '70 Coronet in that color but here it is on a large car. I think I would tire of explaining it's the wrong year's color. Probably the opposite of a popular resale color. I'll paint something that color someday.

Strangely I don't think I have had one person question the citron/curious yellow color on our 69..maybe its because its a charger with its cult following. Charger turns heads werever we go. My nephew even noticed..the attention it gets. Some people hate the green tint of the yellow. I love it. I would say it has to have black interior..It would look terrible w any other interior color. When we painted it in 1988 we did not even know what the original color was..it was F6 Bright Green poly. Which I have grown to like also. We also have a 71 340 Duster 4 speed that is original curious yellow.

Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry conditioned people to accept a curious yellow 69 Charger.

I found the sale chart regarding Mopar colors. It's from Haggerty, not hemming. I don't know how to post it here, or I would.
Biggest winner was bright yellow, followed by lime green. b5 blue did well, b3 not so much. Red was break even.
Black did well.
Worst loser was burnt brown, almost 20% worse than median.
You can find the survey by googleing Haggerty mopars famously wild colors.

I almost painted my `72 Barracuda B5 blue but ended up going with it`s original EV2 Tor-Red, I bought my road runner because it is originally FC7 In-Violet and obviously going back that color. That said I actually am a bit tired of seeing all the High Impact, common, bright colors and like you I now love seeing all more oddball/less popular ones like the dark greens (which were popular when new, then un-popular but now have made a comeback), tans, browns etc.

One of my favorite colors is what my best friend has on her A66 Challenger, B7. I'm kinda surprised it's not more popular. At the Mopar shows I see ten times as many B5 than B7. B3 doesn't seem to be a winner either.
Edit: and I can't remember ever seeing B1.

Best color, not worst.
I politely disagree agree with that statement. Supposedly rarity makes things more valuable. Based on that, supposition those colours add more value!
Another point, if one was raised on a farm or ranch, you really appreciated seeing green in the spring and summer. Purchasing a green vehicle blended in when taking a picture of the crops.

Sometimes rarity does not.

Value= rarity with desirability
According to the Hagerty piece, my lemon twist 1970 GTX had a rare and desirable color. Only 77 were built in that shade. It also had the rare bench seat option. That, in combination with a column automatic, made the car rare, but hard to sell. It would have been a far different story with buckets and a four speed. Color is just one factor.

Dare to be different @SteveSS ...Petty blue.

It won't hurt the resale.
