The CFO said I have to finish my boys 81 ElCamino before I get the RR. So off to the races. It's going to be his first car/truck. It was my wife's(CFO) dad's car. She drove it to high school.

The deuce and a half will be getting a paint job this week anyone have any input how to clean up the rust cover bolts before spray bomb! I'm thinking wire wheel but that will take forever voom in on bumper bolts to see what I mean

Well, got the rest of the interior in, and took it for a shake down... did really well. Found a few things that need taken care of but pretty happy over all...
All the ac switches are in the console and working, navigation, power point are too...I guess I get to start back on mine now...

Here's a car project that will never be finished, but it is up and running and I drive it occasionally back and forth to work. Great gas mileage and the turbo makes things interesting. 86 Omni GLH-T with a 2.4 DOHC swap

I had one for my first car. It was burgundy and silver. Not the car but like this one.

Many hard miles, off-road through a few fields and even on the beach once. I remember one time driving down a dirt road, came upon a "puddle" that stretch to both sides of the road. Stopped looked at it and said yup this car can make it so I went for it. Well it was a bit deeper then a puddle. The front of the car went under the water, water went up the windshield and over the roof. I coasted out of the other side of the puddle and stalled. Dried the cap and rotor off sat for 30 mins or so for the rest of the car to dry and was back on the road for another adventure. That poor car. I finally destroyed it trying to spin the front tires, stomped on the gas, dropped it from natural to drive, the car hopped and wouldn't you know it the trans blew.
What a good little car.

At work I've gotten quite a ways on the 49 F1 project and still have many hours left to make it run. I have gotten the cab mounting solidified, steering is made up and functioning, hydraulic portion of the brakes working plus the abs module is mounted, welded up the firewall fully plus primed/seam sealed/painted now, mounted various heat exchangers[ oil cooler, condenser, radiator, ps cooler]. I also figured out a way to get a Lokar shifter to work on it as they don't make one for this trans. When I get back to work on the 6th from being on the disabled list it will continue plus get further on my 65 Coronet.

Had one of those I finished up about 2 yrs ago! Present for my wife, my 1st total ground up, only thing I didnt do were the seat covers....thank God its done!!!! Couldnt have done it without my litle helpers!

Parts arrived today so I was able to start putting my wife's truck back together. Upper control arm, CV half shaft, complete strut assembly and break line. Tomorrows arrivals should be the rack and pinion, and ball joints. Spent most of today straightening the upper control arm/ strut mount and reattached the upper arm.

1931 Fordor street rod, all original steel Briggs body with original fenders; 1968 For 302 with C4 trans; old school metallic green with cragars and all original door handles and hardware. Not chopped. Plenty of head room in front and rear creamy white leather interior. Solid wood dash. Runs great but needs a fresh coat of paint - if you are interested in painting it let me know.
