I've been A body mopar since I got my driver's license in 06 but I recently acquired a GTX which I reluctant to take on because I don't know B bodies as good as I know A bodies. My favorite car ever is the duster and I have a few, followed closely by valiants ( boxy ones 67 to 73).

As I started looking up B body parts, it hit me that all my hobbies are expensive.

I am not normal because other than cars, I do model railroading, and I'm a fish keeper.

The model railroad spun off into slot cars, and model car kits.

Of course none of that is cheap.

Why can't I be normal !!

What other hobbies are you into?

Hobbies?
There are times that I feel that I should broaden my horizons. For example....
The past Thanksgiving, a guy at the gathering asked me What do you do for fun ? Now, I have to mention that this guy retired a few years ago and is a few years younger than I am. He and his wife have been to Japan, Europe and are planning a trip to South America to snorkel off the coast. He sold a few Jiffy Lube shops and cashed out. They are a bit "different" though. They sometimes swing with another woman since the wife swings both ways....
What do I do for fun? Car shows, the various car builds, spend time with family but for the most part, that is it.
His question gave me pause. I have no jealousy about his marital adventures but the fact that I haven't been to any foreign country did get me thinking.
I like old maps and satellite photos where you can compare changes over time.
As a kid, I used to build plastic car models, that was fun.
I love building things since I was a Carpenter for many years.
I do enjoy a challenge with car projects. It is fun to come up with a way to fix things.

What else do I do. Hmmm.

Up until the event ended, dad and I played with machine guns at Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot. We were part of the Wild Bunch if you ever watch YT videos from there. Talk about expensive hobbies.

I have a few street cars I play with a drive as often as possible. One being my Mr Norms GSS Demon.

Then there is the Charger thats going to Bonneville to play on the salt.

Otherwise, I am getting back into drawing and painting.

Other than my Mopar hot rods my hobbies include but not limited to motorcycles mainly Harleys and some dirt bikes and guns....lots of guns, mostly revolvers and old double barrels.... and beers with buddies while talking about cars motorcycles and guns, is that a hobby? damn right it is.

I’ve been working on home projects. Built a Tiki bar, patio with pergola, rebuilt two decks, added a lean-too onto the barn. I’ve been playing in my garden and using my backhoe around the property. Also home appliance repair (just for me). I used to fly and scuba dive too, but I think those days may be behind me. My wife and I do a Lot of world traveling now too.

We have a 2nd home on a lake in NH and that place keeps us busy in the nice weather months. We also have done some traveling & would like to do more, mainly in the US because there is so much to see in this country, but a cruise to Norway & Iceland does spark my interest.

For years since i was a kid I have enjoyed hunting native American artifacts. That is getting tougher the last several years since no till farming.
I now stick to the rivers , banks and sand / gravel bars.
I enjoy night fishing on local rivers.
Almost 2 yrs ago I started to teach myself to play guitar.
I try to get at least 1/2 hr to a full hr
a day in practice. It is a slow process for me but i only have to suit myself lol.
Just about have the rental place ready to sell. That's not a hobby but did take $ and time.

Other than working on my Charger my other hobby mostly is model trains
Started out in the HO scale stuff and have all the digital upgrades with sound and lights in them with a basement size layout but lately have been tinkering more with the old Lionel stuff
Like the stuff that comes in a box then try to get it working again Parts are much bigger and easier to see the older I get
Also into the coin collecting a bit ever since I was young but it is more just stuff I find in my pocket and sort out the odd ones and keep them

Cars
Cats
Guitar/Bass/live sound/studio (oh, and electronic drums)
Vintage home audio
1/64 cars
1/25 cars
1/87 (HO) trains
Legos
Rental properties (at least that pays)
Investing

$$$$$$$$$$

I forgot motorcycles.
...and woodworking.
...and metal working

I also used to do-

1/35 armor
1/72 aircraft and ground forces
Fishing
Computers
Computer gaming
Home theatre

I'm sure there's more...

We traveled, a lot, when the kids were young. I've been into many things over the years, get bored and move on. I sold my lake house, gave my Boat and waverunners away. I don't flip houses anymore and enjoy doing whatever I want, when I want, if Theresa lets me..................... I'm always looking for the next thing, Theresa just laughs at me. No more cars, I'm keeping my 65 and just keep fine tuning it till I think I'm done. No such thing as done, just happy.

I have done some house renovations in the past, cutting the roof off a 1-1/2 story making it into a full two story, built my shop in the backyard, and remodeled my kitchen, but I hardly have time for anything besides the cars these days. N scale narrow gauge trains and miniature machining are nice stress relievers when time allows.
