What other hobbies do you have

I still have some of her insignia.

I also have a surplus store (back when they actually sold surplus) Korean era Army Air Corps flight cap.

Dang, I just realized I forgot collecting "vintage militaria".

...and "counterfeit (illegal sales promo)" and oddball currency.

I've been A body mopar since I got my driver's license in 06 but I recently acquired a GTX which I reluctant to take on because I don't know B bodies as good as I know A bodies. My favorite car ever is the duster and I have a few, followed closely by valiants ( boxy ones 67 to 73).

As I started looking up B body parts, it hit me that all my hobbies are expensive.

I am not normal because other than cars, I do model railroading, and I'm a fish keeper.

The model railroad spun off into slot cars, and model car kits.

Of course none of that is cheap.

Why can't I be normal !!

What other hobbies are you into?
I like to do a lot of stuff, sometimes there is just not enough time to do it all. Been a car guy all my life so that takes up a lot of time. Then I like sailboats, people always tell me that it is weird, and I tell them I go drag racing for fun, I go sailing to relax. Out on a big body of water in a gentle breeze is just about the most relaxing thing you can do. And sleeoing in the boat with the gentle rocking is about the best sleep you can get as well. Then there is the problem of where I live in the middle of Missouri. We have several big lakes, but I have a 25 foot O'day trailer sailer, so I can tow to the big water. Have been to the great lakes, Chesapeake Bay, Atlantic off the coast of Floridia. One time I got to go on a catamaran to the Bahamas.
Then I was a boy scout, so I love the outdoors. For many years my son and I take a wilderness camping and fishing trip to the boundary waters canoe area in Minnesota. And I have a slide in truck camper I use when drag racing and it gets double duty as every year I like to take a trip to a national park. I guess my favorite national park is Yellowstone, and then the boundary water canoe area, if you like the outdoors then both parks are a must see and experience.

Everything has a price, if you get an escort you can pay to play with them for the night, if you marry them you can pay to play with them for the rest of your life!

I'm 6'3"
My wife is 5'3"

They are "right there".

I mean right.....THERE.

I'm down to 185 now.....

....but I was "assigned" a new nickname when I started waxin the floors with the locals when I first moved out here in '06.

I'm now officially known around here as "Hick-With-A-Stick"

Other than my Mopar hot rods my hobbies include but not limited to motorcycles mainly Harleys and some dirt bikes and guns....lots of guns, mostly revolvers and old double barrels.... and beers with buddies while talking about cars motorcycles and guns, is that a hobby? damn right it is.
Cheers Outlawd!! This description is me too except enduros instead of Harleys(I like them but do not own one)

I've eliminated a handful of old hobbies over the years: Guitar, mountain biking, 1/25 models cars to name a few. I also sold my motorcycle, which was really more than a hobby as it was my daily commuter for over a decade.

I still carve tikis out of logs, hike, go to trivia night at the local brewery, and flip stocks. I also listen to music in the background most all the time, which some would say is passive and not a hobby, but I do it with eclectic intention. In the winter I will read 5-6 books, usually science, biography, or history.

I just did a monologue for some fellow office workers about "Stayin Alive" being the first "sampled" drum track.

They were enthralled.

I also just volunteered some entries to the "best covers of all time on another forum-

Johnny Cash's "Hurt"
Nine Inch Nails' "Get Down, Make Love"
Metallica's "Stone Cold Crazy"

So, yeah (even if I'm wrong) I consider music a "hobby".

Broke my own chain with-

Horton Heat's "Ace Of Spades"

and

Gary Moore's "Shapes Of Things"

68gtxman, please explain the official DoD flight jacket, the fireproof one, and the Apache!! My USAF jacket is leather...!
The USAF issued the Nomex Flight Jacket long before the Leather one was re-introduced as an optional wear item. One was issued both or in my case, I had mine custom made for me in Osan Korea as it has all the attributes of the originals. You must be a fairly new USAF vet if you only got the Leather one...cr8crshr/Bill :usflag::usflag::usflag:

Outside of cars.

Trains. HO scale and an outdoor G scale setup. The kids love that one. Driving tonka trucks all over it and filling cars with rocks, pinecones, dirt, and whatever else lol.

Old Harley’s. Pre 1948 stuff is my favorite.

Pretty much any outdoor stuff as well.
