Picked up 2 sets of real nice 68 charger doors...a pair of absolutely clean 70 sport satellite fenders...and a nos 4-door quarter, possibly for 70 Plymouth. Don't really need any of it...just add it to the hord.
Yeah 'sort of' not a reservation to say, but a villageGot my tank yesterday. Since there was an Industrial Metal Supply on the way back, scored a piece of 18ga and 11ga cold rolled for future projects.
Budnicks, are the any Indian reservations around? The reason I ask is that at many of them, they don't have the CARB additive package in the fuel. Still have Ethanol though. My friend in Vegas hauls fuel from over by Nellis to the Rez's in Cali. Might help. I know Amsoil has additives for both short and long term storage, think Sta-Bil does too. Might help to move the rides periodically to circulate/shake up the fuels.

I never buy diesel in california if I can help it. It may be crap,... but it's EXPENSIVE crap. I buy as much diesel as I can in Arizona, before my Cali trips.Yup, our Gasoline is horrible.... But our Diesel is even worse... Currently i'm helping my farmer buddy with seven diesel powered pieces of farm equipment... All of the fuel systems have had to come apart & get flushed, injection pumps, injectors, fuel tanks, fuel pumps & lines.... All of it.... First one we sent the injector pump out... But with seven units down we decided to try doing one pump ourselves.... Youtube to the rescue.. We've got all the pumps & injectors back together, six machines are running... Waiting on the pump that got sent out to the professionals...
Getting ready to do the same for my Wrangler. All the bushings are shot (19 years and 115k miles...go figure). Going with Core 4x4 tubular adjustables - front and rear, upper and lower, as well as adjustable track bars. Same deal - made in the USA. Also, the cheap-o's have a crimp in the bend (weak point), where these are mandrel-bent with no crimp. Greaseable poly bushings, fully rebuildable...and if I ever do decide to lift the jeep, it's one less thing I'll have to get at that point. This morning I ordered a full set of UMI upper and lower tubular control arms and QA1 tie rod adjusters. These will be going on my ‘58 Apache with a Nova front sub. Summit, Jets and Speedway Motors all offer private label control arms for a lot cheaper but the UMI are made in the USA.

Started the Liquid Wrench spraying today - maybe by the time I have the money, order the parts, and the parts arrive, the hardware will actually move! (I'm ordering the set with full hardware kit anyway - for the extra $100, it's cheap insurance in my book)
Jeep drives fine...99% of the time. Hit the wrong bump, though (usually an angled train track, or an angled road patch)...and death wobble. BAD. I've done shocks, a front track bar, a steering stabilizer shock, and a balance...still happens. Less often...but still. And I can see the bushings are shot - they look like muffin tops, squeezing out between the control arms and brackets.A couple years ago I rebushed the GTX with poly bushings and installed QA1 uppers, it dramatically changed how the car feels. I’m hoping for the same result with the truck. Not that it’s bad, but the mid 70’s suspension geometry can be improved upon.
