I know chargers are going for insane prices. I also know they sell for obscene prices on eBay. I’m not sure there is a “cheap” RT project anymore.
I get that just about every project needs trunk, quarters, dropoffs, valence corners, maybe floors. Everything adds up, if all the body and paint will cost the same, I’d rather invest it into an RT car. I don’t plan on selling, I just think it’d make me feel better about it. I know restorations are generally losing money, but I think it’d help being a real RT with possible matching numbers.
Say I find a Charger RT with numbers matching 18 spline and Dana 60 needing all the typical metal mentioned above that someone pulls from a barn...what should I expect to reasonably pay in today’s climate?
I’m considering a car and some projects to finally get a good builder.
$15k, 20k, 25k, 30k?
I know people say they’d never pay these prices for cars that used to be 5-10k a few years ago. I know what they are worth and what they should be worth are very different things. But I’m not sure the price craze will subside, and I’d like to at least get started on the long road lol.
I have been doing a bit of posting for opinions on here, and all input is always appreciated. I’m looking to sell a car I really like to finally get the car I have always wanted, I just want to make sure I don’t squander that money by buying what I shouldn’t.
