what weight brad penn zinc oil for 383

I use 10w30 in mine but it's fairly stock. Maybe 20w50. The green stuff is really good though.

I like and have had good luck with a 10-40 in the Big Block. 20 sounds too thick for start up-protection. Amsoil high zinc in mine.

I use Brad 20/50 in all my hemi-cars. Haven't had any issues.

I use 10/40 Lucas Oil - high zinc in my 440. Not enough miles on to say whether or not that's a good choice - was recommended to me so I went with it.

Brad Penn is the OLD Kenndall the good stuff, i wish more places sold it out here in Cali, I also use the Lucas Muscle car old, been good so far, im using the 10 40.

Bradd Penn 20/50......Have run 20/50 oil in old mopars since the early 60's

I use Brad Penn 10w30 in mine. Kinda hard to find around here, I usually order it from Summit or Jegs.

I use 5w30 with 1200ppm zddp. Tight clearance 383 with hydraulic flat, 75psi idle. I cant use 20 weight, cold viscosity too high.

I know this is kinda late but the large truck rental company I worked for bought 15w40 Mobil in bulk and used it for everything from 1-ton box(gas) to semi's. Never a problem, course these were current day engines. 100,000mile a yr semi's to 40,000 a year gas engines. I like to add some zinc to my '68.
