The wife and kids saw the challenger and flipped, they don't understand. I built this 71 , I know where drops of blood are in it. But I see every flaw. And by the way the only reason it's green is because it started life that way but try it . it grows on you.

Here's the deal, a guy wants to trade the 10 challenger rt for my 71 383 roadrunner. Challenger has 72000 and is like new borla exhaust cold air intake signed by the king. Roadrunner I built myself and is a nice driver. What would you do?

In 5 years time.....will YOU regret the decision to have sold the Road Runner that YOU built up?

I can tell you from experience, that I regret selling my '70 Road Runner every day that passes. Fortunately I was able to replace the hole in my life with a '70 GTX. I still miss my front bench seat.

The people who 'occupied' this nation for a few hundred years (a mere blip in the scheme of things) initially traded some of 'their' land for beads, blankets, muskets and alcohol. Now, nearly 180 years later, they want the land back....sadly they are unable to return the same beads, blankets, muskets and alcohol as would be normal anywhere else....like Walmart for example.
Without wanting to hijack this thread, please consider your decision wisely @benrunner ....you will one day regret selling that car, and end up coming here to FBBO in an effort to track it down again....like so many have done before.

I know a guy that owns both a 71 Road Runner 383 and a 2013 Challenger R/T. He ordered the Plymouth new in 1970. Today he rarely drives the 71, maybe 100 miles a year?
Here are a few shots of the Plymouth over the years. His Challenger is the red one, mine is blue.

My 70 GTX is the color it is becouse it was born that way, i know what you mean by "it grows on you"

gotta face it, more people hate that color of green, (me included), I think it sucks! but like they said, their are more challengers to come up w/ later, the 71, not so much .

I sold a couple of cars to help finance my drag racing....and I'm still not drag racing but I still have the car I was building for it. It will NEVER be sold until after I'm dead and still miss the ones that were sold. They were sold off more than 10 years ago. The 70 Challenger isn't missed nearly as bad as the other one which was a 71 340 Cuda. As for the new Challengers....they only serve as a sad reminder to what got sold off. It's pretty neat that Chrysler built them but they are not a grand slam imo. The old Challengers were lower over all and wider. Maybe the narrower new ones are better for cutting the wind drag going down the 1/4 mile but for me, that's not a bid deal since the car that was being built for a drag car is a 66 Belvedere. How much more drag can you ask for than that!? I'd keep that 71....
