Why is an April 1971 build Plymouth, a 1972 model? I mean really, do the US manufacturers think people actually swallow this marketing crappola??

How far back did this silliness start?

The 1972 model year started production in late July, a little early that year compared to the usual August starting time. What April Plymouth are you looking at? Interesting...

If you want silliness, consider the Dodge and Plymouth neon production started in the end of 2003 and went on sale in dealerships Jan. 2004, as a 2005 model.
