What years of power steering pumps/gears used the large returm hose 5/8"

Large power steering return hose ( 5/8") years ????

From what I know 62 to 66 year models.

I am not sure about prior to that

They had 5/8" return in 1958-1961 also. 1957 has a different style steering pump, not sure whatnthe return hose size was.

Changed to smaller return hose for 1967.

Just last month replaced the 5/8" return hose on my 66 Charger 383. Think it was the original hose, was leaking at the steering box.

They are only good for 50 years.

I have had problems with my power steering pump(s) on my '64 Polara, with large return line. Not 100% solved, yet, but drivable. One thing my rebuilder suggested, was using automatic transmission fluid in the pump, as Chrysler specifies in FSM, instead of modern power steering fluids. He said this is what the pump was designed to use.
