whats your daily driver?

I finally bit the bullet and sent the Explorer down the road. Picked up this baby on 12-31. 2022 Ram 1500 Night edition. Just love it.

2002 Ford Explorer XLT 4.6 liter v-8. around 141k miles now. Bought it in '04. Been a great vehicle. I even persuaded the insurance company to fix it after they wanted to total it in Jan 2012. It was hit in the back door there in the drivers side and the back axle. In the long run they fixed a couple more things and spent way more than they wanted too. But they didn't give me any hassles about it.

I'm hoping to get my 65 Coronet drive-able and be a daily driver next summer. And that's our chocolate lab Mocha. She's a great dog.

from late Nov. to the Ides of March my 02 Dakota (now very rusty due to that). Rest of the year my Victory.

This is my 2009 ram 1500. Gotta have 4wd around here for the winter. In the summer it sits a lot because it’s charger time!

I am also working towards having my 73 Road Runner (340/ 416 stroker) reliable enough to be a DD also, to share time with the Ram.

My 70 (also in the picture above) gets driven a lot, but I can't call it a daily driver.

2013 Audi A6 Allroad 3.0 TDI, 260hp, 460lbs/ft 35 miles/gallon
has 290000km now .

I just can't justify spending $40-$50K on a daily driver. I remember Charles Koch saying something when I was working for Koch Pipeline Industries. Who would borrow money on a depreciating asset? I get the cheapest more reliable and functional vehicles I can for daily use. Then I spend the big money on cars I think will increase in value.

My Pontiac Vibe ($1600) and for hauling my '81 Ford F150. The truck is actually gaining in value now but I bought it for $1500. Internet picture shown. My car ego and I definitely have one is wrapped up in my collector cars.
