For 1962 Dodge Polara 500 can I fit a 15 x 8 wheels without any modifications on the rear?

And I'm thinking 15 x 7 on the front.

Also what would be the widest tires I can fit with no issues?

Any pictures would be appreciated.

Thanks.

For 1962 Dodge Polara 500

Can I fit a 15 x 8 wheels without any modifications on the rear? Yep, with 4.5" back space.

And I'm thinking 15 x 7 on the front. Yep also.

Also what would be the widest tires I can fit with no issues? 275/60-15 rear, 225/70-15 front work well together as they have the same rolling dia.

I even modified my wheels to accept the 14" hubcap to keep the stock look.

Any pictures would be appreciated. See my photo gallery - http://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/vbpicgallery.php?do=big&p=14401

Thanks - No probs ;)

Okay so if I go with 275/60/15 on rear and 225/70/15 on front (both with 4.5" backspace) is the 62 Polara going to look stout? It has a rebuilt 383 that will have a good hungry sound.

I am going to go custom wheels but somewhat tame. Maybe American Racing. My other two Mopars have factory look wheels. I'd like to make this one a bit edgy with a bad--- look.

Thanks.

On my 63 I run 215/70-15's up front on 15 x 6 wheels and 30 x 9's on the rear on 15 x 7 wheels. Ron
