im sure this has been discussed in the past but I have yet to find it. I am picking up a 64 Savoy which has spent most its life as a race car. It has a stock width 8.75. New spool, gears and axles. The car has not been tubbed nor have the springs been moved in, yet. This is usually where I start by ripping the back apart, installaing spring relocater kits and mini/full tubs. I’m not doing that this time, at least not yet. So, my question is, can I run 15x10 rims with 33x10.50 slicks? I currently have some 15x8 that fit nicely, so chances are I may use those wheels with drag slicks. So here are my question(s)
1) can I run 15x10 rims with stock width 8.75? If so, what’s the back spacing requirements?
2) can I fit 33x10.5x15 under stock wheel house and not extend the wheel opening?
3) of I go with 15x8 wheels, can I run the 33x10.50 without cutting.
Eventually the car will get tubs and springs moved in. But I want to get this back on the track sooner then later.
Thanks for any and all help.
