No it is because they were too effing cheap to spring for a set of decent wheels, hence the term "welfare wheels ". Lol

I took a box full of (8) 68 Charger Bullitt style hubcaps to swap meets before with a note "All the original hub caps from the movie Bullitt" with a crazy high price. It always got a ton of laughs and comments.

Thank you. They have done a good job since 1985 but the problem is, they are 14". Getting real tough to fine decent tires anymore. However, I did find a new set of Coopers last year.
