I still get about 85% right guessing from body lines, grilles and taillights.

Not nearly as easy though. I used to be 100% dead on from about age 8 until the 90's

you use to be able to,

even tell cars by headlights & markers or blinker/running lights
even in the dark coming up in you rearview mirrors,
like the police or a rival etc...LOL
