This is a rare outing, we are heading to a car show. I’m not a big car show fan, but it’s a small town 20 miles west and it’s a fundraiser for the local Volunteer fire department, sadly vfd’s across the nation don’t get the funding needed, so I’ll sacrifice my sanity to help them out, and it’s a beautiful drive. I can’t post any pictures right now, the internet hasn’t found Gordon Texas yet

I’m back in civilization 
. I took more pictures of my drive and scenery than anything else. Out of the 60 cars, 3 mopars which is a good turnout round here. 62 valiant Sedan delivery, he got top 15. 73 challenger, he got best of show. And humbly yours truly.
Had a fuel hose clamp come loose, thermostat housing gasket is leaking, and speedometer quit working. But I took the long long way around the lake home, pretty twisty road my car isn’t a dedicated corner carver but it’ll handle pretty good and I still had fun doing what it’s not meant to do, so another great day with GTX. Last picture is a small section of the historic Bankhead highway, from the condition of it probably the original road

I usually just use my phone for pictures, but I like photography so I decided to pickup a used Sony a3000 that was cheap on eBay. I went out to section of preserved Bankhead highway and played a little after the car show, and stopped by a mural in town I always driven by.

It's fun to see an old building come down that was built touching the building next to it and see what was on the side of it. Some had advertisements on them that were covered up for a 100 years. At one point St. Louis was one of the biggest sellers of used brick in the country. They were taken down one brick at a time to save the bricks and at the same time saving the advertisement on the building next to it.
