We have a Cantex mold plant here, too.
Kinda small, but about three to five hoppers of pellets a week go in and trailers loaded with 10" sticks of electrical conduit go out.
They just recently built the newly mandated wire attachment rig where they unload the cars.

My old Viper was perfect in second gear at 2500 rpms. Anyone pulling alongside of it in that sweet spot was done. Hold it down and never shift, they were in my rearview mirror, nothing to prove at that point. Put in the clutch and put it in four and idle on.

This GTX reminds me of the one I missed out on so many years ago. It belonged to a fellow I worked with. It was a 10 year old car and he was no longer driving it, so I offered to buy it, and he said O.K. He later had to back out of the deal because his wife's brother also wanted it. This guy never really did anything with it, except drive it. Over the years, I had to watch it deteriorate to the point that it eventually became a parts car. Very sad. I have always liked that light blue metallic on a 1967 GTX. I now have a 1967 R/T, but I don't think that colour works as well on them.

It's always about coordinating what you have. One piece pulling the rest together. That car was done in good taste, in my opinion.

I was not looking for this car when I bought it. My criteria were 4sp, decent curb appeal, no-regret driver. Really thought it would be an A Body car. It was a “I’ll know it when I see it” thing.

It was the look that sucked me in I think for the reasons Hey-O stated. But make no mistake about it, it is a no-regret driver.

I have more than a complete extra set of Dakota R/T wheels.
One of these days I'm gonna paint 4 of them "body color".
(Along with that cap, the new rear bumper, the front bumper, my pursuit 360 hood, and pretty much the rest of the truck)
 
I drove my red Challenger to the local cruise and parked next to my buddy's purple 70. It is cool to see all the differences between the same model year.

I had a White 2000 Dakota Quad cab, first year, 4X4, 360 sport. I painted the rest of the bumpers white after I got it, to get away from dealing with the black breaking up the look. I got hit in the back and it needed a new bumper. The body man phones and tells me they're having a problem finding that same bumper. I told him buy a 2000 and paint it white, all of it. He didn't believe I painted it that way myself.

I alway like the style of the R/T wheel. I had a friend that had his bought back from Chrysler after finding the bumper they used was stamped with a wrong tow rating. They paid for everything he added, shorty headers and cold air intake. He ran out and bought another one. I bought the stuff from him and put it on mine! R/T and Quad cabs were listed together when you bought parts. Only way to get a 360.

Yeah. My bumper says 6900 pounds!

...and that's the poor design with nothing connecting the sides of the vertical surface!

I almost folded it in half towing cars around.

After I noticed it was cracking right through the ball hole and bowing up in the middle, I installed a frame hitch.
Dakota's with aftermarket dual exhaust are kinda tricky to fit hitches to.
Mine is a bit low and scrubs driveways in they are steep.
I found one that fits better but is somewhat lighter. Still a class III though.
Still on the fence about that.

A couple of years ago, a guy in St Pete was selling a pallet of aftermarket Dakota rear bumpers for $75 each.
The kind with the solid, side to side vertical surface.
That's what I have waiting to be painted.
