Where did you and your car go today

Warmed up the 70 and moved it around a little bit.

Took a 10 hr round trip to Creede in SW Colorado for their annual show and see the brilliant colors of the Aspen. We only had a few issues. The alternator quit on my friends ‘72 Cuda 440, so we did a quick swap in the parking lot of Napa. My oil pressure was reading low so installed a new sending unit but it didn’t help. Luckily a friend in Alamosa was able to hook up a mechanical gauge and it was reading just fine. While at the show, another friend with a El Camino was having fuel issues with his Sniper, so we swapped fuel pumps but it didn’t help. He had to be towed home and it ended up being the regulator in the Sniper itself, which apparently is discontinued so he has to buy a new Sniper 2, or just go back to a carb.

Absolutely beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing!!

There's a bar and grill called Hollywood Corners in Norman, OK about 7 miles away from my house. It opened as a gas station and bait shop in 1925. Toby Keith bought it and renovated it. They have classic car Thursday year around. They have two working gas pumps. One with 89 octane and the other has 100.

My friend Kevin and I had lunch there today.

Love the color!

Indianapolis was our first over night on out trip to Biloxi. Weather was perfect for the drive. My brother in law has a 65 Chevy pickup and we are bouth on the same fuel schedule. My friend is driving a 13 Corvette and it is amazing the Mileage he gets with that.
I get more thumbs up per mile than the Corvette though!!!!
Tomorrow is the Corvette Museum and Blackberry Smoke concert at Beaver Dam amphitheater.
Over the past 2 years I have worked hard and lost 60 pounds, my wife packed a year’s worth of snacks.
Good thing the Plymouth has a big trunk. I have plenty of tools and then the big suitcases. I remember when two pairs of jeans and enough clean underwear was enough for any trip.

I'm making note of your images and will remember them when the time is right. Again, well done!!

Drove it to the gas station & back after having to replace the gas tank, sender unit & have the carb rebuilt. Got several beeps and thumbs ups. Still has the original exhaust, although there is a hole in the muffler. Seems funny to drive an old Mopar that's so quiet.

I pulled off the windshield moldings earlier in the week & cleaned them up. Today, I gooped up the windshield gasket with some butyl, which should take care of the leaks which had been crudely "repaired"..

With the new tires on............
