I get a call from the glass place that is fixing my windshield and rear glass as they both leaked. The rear gasket is in such bad shape (as were the clips and there was also rust in the channel) that the guy is reluctant to spend the hours and $$$ trying to fix it and would rather have a new gasket. I have seen it an I agree that the PO mangled and damaged it.

Problem is, he can't seem to find a place with the rear windshield gasket in stock for a 67 Coronet hardtop. So the car will sit for a few days as he tries to make the cramps gasket work or he may have to give me the car back with no rear window as his shop is closed for a bit at the end of the week and he doesn't want to store it on his property for liability reasons.

ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO GET A REAR WINDSHIELD GASKET QUICKLY?

Really?
Do you know how to use: Google?

I did, took me 3 seconds to find your much needed item.

Guess I should have specified that I was hoping to find a place I could actually physically go to and buy the gasket without doing the shipping/waiting thing due to the time constraints. My apologies for having to make you guys respond to me in such a way.

Do the 67s even use a rubber gasket in the rear?Guessing it takes the butyl type and this can be had at most parts stores.

We're just joking with you... Hope you find it. But I've heard that New York was a big place so I'm surprised than none of the glass shops would be able to provide any help. They are on Amazon so perhaps you could get an expedited delivery.

Funny, my 69 uses tape. When it rains it floods my car, but the window is covering a hole.

Well.. there's yer problem.....don't use a hole in that configuration. No leaks, guaranteed.

The hole is the window hole. Trying to be funny. Does the '67 use a gasket while a '69 uses tape?

Is one of those close enough to you drive there and back in 8 hours?

Seriously MykeNytemare,

Most times a store can ship within 1 day.
Often, I get an item within 2 days.

PS: Let us know the "outcome"

Jim's actually had one and personally overnighted it. Car should be done tomorrow and out of the shop before the guy closes for vacation.... Just in the nick of time.

I really didn't know if places were willing to do overnights on one item orders. Seems a call and a friendly answer on the other end are all that's needed.

If that's the Jims I am thinking you'll be lucky if you get it at all
