Where to retire to.....decisions, decisions.

snakeoil24 has the right idea...retire in California, be homeless there and live better than everyone else.

Agree--critters tend to end up where feeding is easy. Bees, mosquitoes, and flys come to mind. They find the flowers the blood and the **** wherever it is.
Everyone finds their place by either picking the easy fruit or working to farm the fruit they want.

Well lucky me ! I only have to move 90 miles west, Out of the listed locations Nebraska & Kansas sound the best to me.
Not near the high pressure rat race we have here :drinks:

Don't bother with FL. It's one big game of bumper cars down here!
But there is a bonus in the normal areas most every one has a gun and non of these criminals are stupid enough to bother with us ! The gun problems happen mostly in the blue areas !

One thing for sure, it's gonna be inside the USA's 48 continuous. Not going off-shore no matter how cheap it is. No way. No how. Great healthcare, AAA, cell service, and paramedics in 3-7 minutes at my door.

or maybe West Virginia where:
hotdogs have chili on them
shoes are optional
alright is spelled aight
did you eat yet is geet yet
you can get a property damage permit to shoot deer, boar and bear any time of year
a fishing trip means walking down to the creek or river
All kidding aside, it's pretty cool here!

Been there. Beautiful place.

I visited a couple buddies that retired to Southern Utah
outside the St George area, it's really nice, nice climate for most the year
temperate weather, not all too hot or cold, a little snow occasionally,
lots of golf, lots of outdoor activities, lots of open space,
lots of off-road potential, 2800ft altitude, conservative politics,
not overly populated, not too many Negative Nancy "detractors",
low crime, only some 80k or so & 150k population in the whole metro area,
has a decent car culture too, with decent housing price ranges,
especially on the outskirts of town or the golf communities,
some great & friendly people...

Real-estate is decent, for what RC pays in Mass.
he could build & own a mansion or 2 in St. George...

I don't need no mansion. A modest 2,000 square foot home with an attached 2 car garage & 40' X 80' garage will do nicely.

OK I kind of knew that...
Your real-estate $$$'s will go much farther,
so you could build/buy a really nice 2000 sqft place
& invest the rest into the 40' x 80' garage or shop
or buy, fix up & then sell more B-body Mopars,
or collect more 2nd gen Chargers, even Hemi's

I've got just the place for you near the Poconos!
5 acres
2200 sq ft
2 car attached garage
30 x 32 shop
Deer, bear, turkeys, I might even work in the mower.
No elevator - bummer:(, lots of stairs.
