My 67 charger ha a clicking. Noise in the dash somplace. It sounds just like a flasher. About every 4-5 seconds it clicks and the amp gauge drops 1/8". Then another click and the gauge comes back up.. Any ideas?
I think you posted this elsewhere- but the only circuit break is behind the driver's side kick panel. I would suspect the headlight motor relays (behind the glove box). Just disconnect them and see if it goes away.
The only other things that could make that noise are the instrument voltage regulator (do your gauges work?) or a flasher. Could your hazard lights be on? Do they work?
These cars can be electrical nightmares. Disconnecting things (one at a time) until the problem goes away has been my best tactic.
