I don't think those are the turn signals he's looking for so what ever you do don't remove them! :poke:

Hey, nice Cuda! Enjoy your stay and especially the show. Stay cool.

Actually, the lack of attendees wearing masks was the scary part for my better half and I today. I'm estimating that about 90% of the folks attending the show today weren't wearing masks, and although we're all outside, it was very tough to stay 6 feet apart from people in many of the isles where the vendors were located. Up on the showfield was a different story..... there's more room there and less people in general so we definitely felt safer in that area vs. the vendor area.

There were lots of signs visible throughout the area that Carlisle had put out asking people to adhere to the CDC recommendations, but most folks seemed to ignore them. For example, we went thru the building where the pristine 1970 Superbirds and 1970 Charger Daytona's were displayed. A sign at the entrance said that masks were mandatory but for the most part, only the car owners were masked up. Most spectators were not and there was no enforcement of the mask policy. When we realized this was the case, we quickly went thru the building and then didn't go back again. Wish we could have spent more time there, but we just didn't feel safe..... :-(

Here is the deal here at Chrysler's @ Carlisle.....
We DODGED the big one today.... As tropical storm Faye (not a hurricane -- "Only" 50 - 60 mile per hour winds) with an extremely wide swarth of rain from the Atlantic Seacoast to Harrisburg -- yes 15 minutes from here --- and we Did NOT get a drop !!!!!
As we speak, she is slamming New Jersey and Long Island....and is headed North to Cape Cod...

We all estimate that 75 % of the vendors are here...
We believe that the foot traffic is at about 50 - 60 %
                    Of normal capacity....
We will see what tomorrow will bring.... If you are on the fence about coming tomorrow.... 3 words for you --
                    Come On Down !!!!!!!!!!
                    Yours, Craig.....

The weather looks good again for most of today so we're heading back up to Carlisle this morning but this time with the 70 Cuda. No parts hunting for the '64 today, just going to enjoy the show field.

I was there Friday for a couple of hours and agree that foot traffic was down, but there were plenty of vendors to keep you busy. I drove home in that storm to Long Island, it was a 6 hour trip. At 1 construction site that was about 10 miles long, the water wasn't draining and the front wheel drive was slipping like crazy. I had to drive in the middle of the road to prevent the front wheels from spinning. I got a few things I wanted so it was worth the trip for me.

I was vending down on K row. Got in on Thur morning. It looked to be maybe 50% of the usual vendors. Tons of the usual guys around us made it. Much of the vendor grass was full...of everyone's cars that used it as free/overflow parking where vendors usually would be.

Foot traffic was scary small on Thursday, usually pretty busy with the Canadians and others for out of the country, but with travel restrictions, slow. That and it was hot as all Hell!

Friday was a lot better than we expected as far as people. Better weather and lots of lookers....but few buyers. I realize money is tight for many folks, but I'm not selling you a brand new, in the box, Spectra gas tank, straps and sending unit, that I have listed for $200, for $150. Many vendors said they've never had such a poor show. Oh well, better than not going and losing out on money paid for the spaces. At least we broke even for the weekend.

I left this morning 3 days was enough for me plus I did everything I needed to do, it sure seemed like there was some good deals but also a lot of the same old waaay over priced junk that the same fools have been trying to sell for years.

Saturday night / just past midnight -- just stepped out of a must have shower !!!! I feel human again !!!!
This has been a fun five days here so far.... 1/2 a day to go....
A lot of the vendors pulled out today -- so wouldn't recommend making a long trip for just Sunday... There are still some cars in the car corral --- so maybe you can get that last minute score ?!?!
I had 20 of my friends estimate how many cars were in the car show field... The last three years, they set consecutive records with 2804, 2824, and 2836 ---
Three straight years over 2800+ (they do count the Omnis, Neons, and P T Cruisers...)
They estimated between 1200 and 1800 --- so the real number is 1500 - 1600 ish... Not bad at all !!!!
Sales for me were actually very strong !!! I guess it is a matter of having the right parts at the right price!!!!
Weather was incredibly beautiful for over 98 % of these five days....
We missed all who weren't here, We hope all who were here had a great time....
Let's do this bigger and better next year.... Stay Safe everyone, God Bless us all,. Here or not, we are all friends and family.......
                                Yours, Craig.....

My registration number from Thursday morning was 2048. You never know who didn’t show but it seemed like plenty of cars on the show field.

Here’s a few pics from the show field area that we took yesterday. Things were busier on Saturday vs Friday and there were a lot of nice cars on the field. Our green on green stock 70 Cuda was there too.

The Sox/Martin car is a recreation of the original and that’s Herb McCandless in the white shirt behind it talking with folks in the grandstand area.

Here's a few pics, wish I would have taken more. The purple Cuda is a 3400 mile survivor. Spent a lot of time talking to people while at the car and meeting with fbbo members. It was great!
