What backspacing works for the factory drum cars? Need to see some pics. 4.25 BS will work? My car seems low in the back maybe sagging springs not sure replacing shocks soon to see if that makes a difference.

i have measured it and 4.6 will put the rim exactly in the centre if everything is stock, although if you have a smaller width wheel you can go less BS for a deeper dish

yo bigman...my 70 runner has 255-60 15's on it....look in my gallery for the pix. my mag 500's are 4.25 back space

I have 275/60/15 on my 69RR,Craig one of the FBBO members who I bought the car from did a tremendous job making it have an awsome stance.have some pictures here but can give you more info if wanted on the backspacing the car has airshocks with very minimal air in them. The wheels I want are what you have dog, mag 500's with 4.25 so if they fit your 70 they should fit my 69 right? I just measured from leaf spring to the fender well lip and got almost 12" of width more than that for the front. So sounds like it will work just don't want to click buy and have fitment issues

How is the ride with those 255's? I might have to get shackles too get that rear up if my new shocks don't do it.

Love the look of the wheel and tire widths and stance!

Can you please tell us what the front tire size is?
Also can you please tell us what wheel widths you are running on front and back?

Would like to also see a side view shot of your car if you have it. Thanks.

Yea Santas' still here.Tires in front are 215/70/15 and rim width are 15x6 in front and 15x8 in rear.

Cool, thanks. That's the tire sizes I have but I currently am running 7" wheels up front and was debating on getting 6" instead. You just solved my dilemma.

Sorry for the slight hijack!

tire size

I forgot the size but these fit without any issues. I believe I have 4.5 inches of back spacing as well

I have a pair of 255-60-15's holding up my 69 RR now and they look good. The steelies are custom made with a BS of 4-3/8". I asked for 4.5 but didn't end up that way. I don't have pics here but will post later.
