I have a friend Earl that builds sb/bb mopar engines but does not break them in. I also have a friend Pat that builds and breaks them in, but he is a chevy/ford guy. Pat did my friends 318 and no problems. Pat takes to long TIME meaning a month or 2. Im in no rush since I have to put the charger back together. Who would you go with? I can take the built engine to Pat to break it in. Would that insult him? And if by chance something gos wrong whos to blame. I havent built an engine in over 30 years thats why I want someone else to do it. Thanks

HP engines in NC. If you want it done right he is the guy. Hollis is doing the stroker for my 70.

My friend Earl does turbo hellcat engines and has a turbo SB on his Rampage. His son drags a challenger and he does his engines.

If you go with a roller cam break in isn't really a concern. Hollis knows what he is doing. You also have Marsh performance and SB Engine Machine in the same area. Sean (SB Engine Machine) did my 505 recently and used another shop to Dyno it. Otherwise I don't think he has a run in stand for flat tappet cam break in.

I am fortunate enough to be able to build mine at work and dyno them.

On that case, I'd go with Pat. But... things haven't changed in 30 years, I'd do the same today as I did 50+ years ago. Are you getting lazy... like me ?
