Without the spacer on the front, I wouldn't be able to run the 17x9" rim I am using or the 275/40r17 tire either. That is lots wide enough for me on the front.
I don't have to use a spacer on the rear to clear my Willwoods. Lots enough for meat.
Only reason I need to run a spacer on the front is the RMS tubular front end I am using. Cannot comment on stock or other front ends with Willwoods.
Not sure if mine are 11" but I've got willwoods on the front of my 68 Coronet (Came with the car) and I've got 15" steel wheels on there atm. Not sure if they're stock but look close to it.
